- The problem
- Pigeons and starlings roosting on ledges, in signage and in roof spaces. The droppings are the health issue and the nesting material is the fire risk.
- How you know
- Fouling below a consistent perch, nesting in gutters or solar panel gaps.
- What the work involves
- Proofing — netting, spikes and mesh — rather than removal, since an unproofed ledge simply refills. Most species are protected while nesting.
