What to know about mosquitoes

The problem: A yard problem rather than a building one, and the clearest case of a recurring seasonal service rather than a single visit.
How you know: Biting activity at dawn and dusk, standing water in gutters, plant saucers and low ground.
What the work involves: Barrier treatments to foliage on a repeating cycle through the season, plus removal of standing water. Some areas also have a public mosquito-control district that treats at no cost.
