What to know about rodents
- The problem
- Mice and rats get in through gaps the width of a pencil, nest in wall cavities and roof spaces, and gnaw wiring.
- How you know
- Droppings along skirting boards, scratching overhead at night, a sharp ammonia smell in the roof space.
- What the work involves
- Treatment is usually trapping or baiting followed by exclusion — sealing the entry points — because a property that let one rodent in will let the next one in too.
